I dunno, there is merit not having to maintain another small engine. Especially with ethanol gas these days.

Small engines like that require almost no maintenance, change oil whenever you get around to it, since in this application it will not gather many hours. Non ethanol gas is easy to find in the south and the OP is in TX so I am sure he has it too.

Your running the tractor, pulling the water. Zero reason for another motor, pto is perfect solution for the past 75 years
