PTO Startup Problem

I have one gear and two HST and love them all. One main reason I chose HST is to get creep speeds at full RPM for snow blowing in heavy snows.

I love the smiplicity of gears but the convenience of HST.

I didn't realize the gear drive "L" series and the HST models had different PTO engagement methods. As the old saying goes "Learn something new every day!"

I have a question - I am not sure I should start here or not...anyway.

I have a Kubota BX2350 and the mid PTO attached to my mower deck has always had a slight delay after shifting the engage lever on. The delay used to be 2-3 seconds. Now it is 15-25 seconds. And it has disengaged (with lever still engaged) during operation and then will not engage, or sometimes after more than 60 seconds plus.

Any advice for me anyone?

Your first post, Welcome to TBN... I would just start a new thread in the kubota section (post the same information). I would put the model in the title, that will attract others that have that same model to help answer your question, like: "BX2350 with a delayed mid PTO engagement".

You'll get better replies that way. Posting a different question in another person's thread (with a different model) is poor forum etiquette. It's done all the time and is not a problem but you'll get a better response with a new thread (not trying to be a forum snob, just trying to help you).
