Re: PTO won\'t engage

Go to right side of tractor, by rear wheel.

Look between wheel and fender, right at the lower corner, where the fender meets the cloor...

You will see 4 gold lines running alongside the transmission. the two solenoid valves are there, right behind those lines. they are black, have wires on their bottems and tiny tubing that connects them to the pto or 4wd...

Mine are covered by skid plates, so a pic isn't much good...

I like the CD manuals because I can print out the page and take it with me to my barn to work on the tractor. If the print out gets dirty or ruined I can make another.

Re: PTO won\'t engage

Well I couldn't find any electrical problem so yesterday I loaded the tractor on a trailer and brought it to the dealer to have it repaired. A couple of hours ago, the service mgr called to tell me the tractor was ready. When I picked it up, he said that it was a bad electical connector at the solenoid. One hour labor at $86 and I'm good to go /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
Now I can mount the Taylor Way backhoe attachment and try it out. But next week, I'll buy some material to fabricate a subframe.
