Thats great!

I did see my first salco chipper when I was at Keats in Keene NH the past week. I didn't remember which model number but I must say they do very nice. I didn't get to see one work but I guess the load sensing feed seems like a real nice feature.

You may have done this already. Does it help if you increase the rpms and try to lift the chipper?

Have you tried adjusting the legs to the highest point? I have herd with some tractors that makes a big difference.

RPMs don't make much difference. I once got it to lift by retracting the hydraulic top link all the way, which shifts the center of gravity forward a bit. My dealer said they upped the hydraulic pressure a bit for one customer to address the problem. I might consider that.
