For that size tractor, you can't go wrong with Wallenstein. BX32 for pure chipper or BXM32 for chipper/shredder. Order from the good folks at Woodward Crossing and you wouldn't have to drive any further than your local freight terminal.
I just went through this process myself and researched the various brands. People on TBN were a great help. Finding one used is difficult as they get scooped up fast. I was looking at a used Wallenstein and a used Bear Cat and went with the Bear Cat. Looking forward to using it more extensively in the spring. Keep your eyes out on CL and good luck.
LOL, if you want to drive to Montreal I have one that we intend to list this spring, Forget the brand name but it was on a 20 hp machine and takes 3-4" and has a large shreader hopper for twigs and smaller stuff (like 6" X 20")
Keep searching on craigslist, they show up once in a while, but don't last long. I got my wallenstein bx42 that way, but it took a few months of looking.
As mentioned on TBN in the past, use searchtempest.com to search CL,ebay, etc in a user defined region. For instance, there is a BX42 for sale up near Albany, NY ...
I highly recommend a MacKissic. They're easy to maintain. Or a DR product. Think MacKissic makes the DR stuff. A TPH-122 is what I got for my JD 4010 which was 18.5 hp. Now using it on my 1025.
