I was looking at a pull type rotary cutter and never having used anything besides a traditional 3pt style, I was wondering if anyone could help.
When using the 3pt style, the PTO shaft stays in in a straight line behind the tractor. I like the idea of a pull type mower, but does it cause any problems when you are turning with the PTO running or does the u-joints pivot without a problem.
I see the highway mowers all the time doing this so I guess it would not be a problem, but it just seems like it would be a little bit of an issue.
If anyone has any other comments about pull types, please don't hesistate to share.
Thanks
Paul
