Just got back from the Dealership after buying a 2305. For those that are interested, price was $14,345 for tractor, turf tires, 200CX FEL, 54"MMM, Weight Box, tires loaded with Rim Guard and a block heater. I tried to haggle the price but he wouldn't budge. I asked for an extra set of blades or some filters and still no go. At least I get a free hat!

For those who are on the fence, I had $$ in hand last week to buy a Kubota BX2350. However, after trying it out I was very disappointed in the transmission. Having read posts I was prepared for the issue with the reverse pedal but it still almost gave me whiplash! Apparently it is a known issue that the reverse pedal has no "feathering". As soon as you left off pressure it's like someone pulled the emergency brake. I tried several times to feather it and it was still very jerky. I'd hate to have weight in the FEL and go in reverse. I know I could get used to it but if I'm spending that amount of money I shouldn't have to make concessions, especially with other options available.

I then tried the 2305 and instantly lost my biased towards orange. Very smooth, quiet and solid. Lots of posters say the fit and finish is better on a JD and I can attest to that. For me it was worth every penny of the extra couple hundred $$ for JD. I dropped the FEL and deck in 10 minutes the first time (without the dealers help). I wasn't too crazy about the hoses being located where they are but I haven't heard any posters complaining.

It will be a long wait until Monday...

Congrats You/ll sure love it. If you haven't already, get the online owners manual to lok at while you wait for delivery...

Yeah, for me I knew I loved the green machine, but figured I couldn't afford it. My FIL taught me that it is free to get a bid, and at least you might get a good idea from it. Well, I was surprised by the bid and still happy with my green machine.

I agree that the hoses look a bit precarious on that machine. I added skid plates to mine and really had to work because the lines were so bent. If rough stuff is in the picture, I'd fab something for 'em...

Congrats! I got my 2305 the end of July and I love it so far. Just about the same setup - I got a 62C deck. This machine continues to suprise me with it's capabilities!

I too just filled out the credit app and ordered a 2305 with the 200CX loader, 62C MMM and a 48" box grader. After Many many months of reading, shopping, test driving, shopping for used, etc. I finally decided to take the money that I saved up for a used unit (since i couldnt find a decent used machine at a decent price) and use it as a down payment and finance the rest. this forum has been a GREAT help with all the great advice and reviews.

THANKS!!!

Now i have to wait for it to come in. the dealer didnt have any instock, he sold the one i looked at just 2-3 days ago:-(

Where do you get the online manual?

Good for you!!!! I felt the same way about the BX , didn't care for the way it felt to me. You will love the 2305 like it is a family member. Nice piece of machinery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your new tool ;)

One small suggestion... You may want to consider swapping your 54" deck for the 62". I think it may be a little more handy mowing around things and enables you to get under trees, shrubs a little easier... Just a thought....

Looking forward to some pics... :)

rick,

Congrats! I also second the 62C recommendation. It reduces the uncut circle to 36" has better overlap over the tires and gets that ROPS further away from trees etc --- all effectively making the tractor MORE maneuverable.

Another vote (with Shawk and JDFanatic) for the 62C MMM. Have had mine since 4/06 and just broke 50 hours. You won't believe how much fun work can be!
