I have a BX 2660 "and love it" last night i was cleaning it up a little, and noticed there is a oil fill plug on the injection pump so i took the plug out and noticed there is a burr at the bottom of the hole blocks at least 1/4 of the hole, guess they didn't run the tap all the way through,i'm calling the dealer today, would be my luck that it would brake off,and do some gear damage, after the warranty ran out, anyway do i have to service the pump"change oil"and if so,what kind, and how much??the plug does not have a stick on it,so don't know if it's low,or anything thanks

Most if not all direct injection pumps are lubricated by the engine oil in the crank case and the diesel fuel.

If the 2660 is an indirect injection fueled engine it would have an oil fill port which would you would fill to overfull spilling out-only if the injection pump was the indirect type-flat case driven from the engine crank which would spin a spur gear.

I woul definitely call them this morning about it as it is a worrrysome issue that can cause repair money issues

so i called them, they said it is oiled by the crank case oil,the fill plug is there to fill the crank case,if it's easer to get at then the top one,as far as the burr,on the bottom,i have to pay they $75.00 to pick it up,so they can look at it,i live 3 miles from them!!!!!,kind of funny, when i bought it over $14.000.00,the sales guy said,i live just down the road,if you have any issues, give me a call, and i'll be happy to come over, and have a look, well i guess he changed his mind, again love the bx2660,but when it comes time to make a change, guess i'll be happy to find another dealer, there is one about 15 miles from me

That is really crappy service, Davis Farm Supply has sent someone to my house to drop off stuff or put parts on at no charge and they are about twenty-five miles away.
