I treated my field preemerge with Sandea and Stategy. We had no rain for 6 days, so it did not get incorporated in and I am now getting flushes of both grass and broadleaf wees. I have used poast in the past for grasses and that works well, I am going to try Sandea for postemerge, I have read it can be tricky to use so wish me luck.

In Ontario we can use Alanap and Dual II Magnum as preplant herbicide and Post Ultra as postemergence for grass control in pumpkins and squash. I have never used a herbicide before.

I find that if I plant late and till just before planting weeds are not major problem. I must till at least once after planting and weed between the hills once when the weeds and small before the plants vine. After that I simply pull the larger weeds by hand.

Luremaker....I just posted this picture over in the Pumpkin thread I started. These were planted June 10. My patch is much smaller than yours, but this is my first year to try pumpkins so I might go larger next year if this year is a success.
