Did you have to rotate them as they grew? Looks like the back ones stayted pretty round.
No, I just grew them for fun. I didn't rotate them. That would break the stem. The only thing you can do is to gradually move the pumpkin so it's stem is 90 degrees from the vine, so it can grow without splitting the stem. I lost a few big ones to the deer.
