Nice - The **** deer ate mine off before they even flowered.

Did you grow them for a contest?

Did you have to rotate them as they grew? Looks like the back ones stayted pretty round.

No, I just grew them for fun. I didn't rotate them. That would break the stem. The only thing you can do is to gradually move the pumpkin so it's stem is 90 degrees from the vine, so it can grow without splitting the stem. I lost a few big ones to the deer.

Squash beetles and drought got ours this year, but ours would not have been monsters like those...! I want to grow some like that, then try and build a trebuchet and see how far I can chuck them...
