As the title states, Im slightly overwhelmed. I assume that there are many on this site that have been in the same position as I am at this point, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I've made the decision to purchase a compact tractor to mow (main function), brush hog, driveway maintenance, and plow my driveway. I've sat on and looked at many and think I have narrowed it down to a few Kubota models. There is a ton of knowledge on here and Im looking for a little advice. Below are the models I am looking at and associated prices. My conscience (wife) is budget oriented so that is certainly a factor. I have 3-4 acres of grass, a pond to brush hog around, several trails to maintain, and a 400 foot gravel driveway to maintain. I like the beefier size of the B series tractors so Ive narrowed it down to the below models and have eliminated the BX, not because they are not worthy I just prefer the appearance of the larger units.

Leftover B2320, 60mmm, LA 304 loader for $18700 including tax

Leftover (2013) B2620, 60mmm, LA364 loader $20,036 including tax (seems as though this should be lower being that it is a two model year old machine) also some of the machine has spots of rust and faded paint from sitting out. Im sure mechanically it is sound but I have a hard time buying something that looks used.

B2301, 60mmm, loader $20,300 including tax

Lastly, I know a different animal but I looked at a JD 1025r with 60mmm, and H120 loader which is $18,800 tax included.

First of all, the JD1025r is a subcompact like the BX series, so it doesn't fit with the others you listed. If you're going to consider it, you might as well consider the BX series also.

Go to the buildmykubota site and equip each of the B series tractors identically to the quotes you got and see what the prices are. Your dealer should be giving you 10% - 15% off of the prices you get from the buildmykubota site. Most people seem to get 10% - 12% off. I'm not up to date on the B series pricing, but it looks like the dealer may be quoting you full list price.

Personally, I'd lean towards the B2301 or B2601 because of some of the improvements they've introduced with that series, such as the quick attach loader buckets (optional) and position control on the 3 point hitch (standard). And between those two I'd lean towards the B2601 because it's a little more money for a little more power and weight and slightly larger wheels. The B2301 is 17.5 PTO horsepower while the B2601 is 19.5. That's not much of a difference, but it could mean the difference between having plenty of power to run a certain mower, tiller, etc. vs. struggling to run it.

Also, it's common knowledge here on TBN that tractors shrink when you get them home.

How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Any and all of the Kubota models you have researched will do your enumerated tasks. If you owned them all and operated them sequentially you would hardly notice any difference between them.

I am on my third tractor. In my experience it takes a 50% increase in HP/weight before an increase will be really noticeable.

The Deere 1025 is smaller, competitive with Kubota BX series.

I have a hard time buying something that looks used.

I identify with you. When I pay for NEW, I want NEW.

Your tractor is B2601.

I have to agree. Full disclosure, I'm going through the same decision process and have concluded: 1. I want the updates available on the new B__01 series (there are so many). 2. It's just the right size for my 4 acres, mowing 3+ acres weekly, 3. will have better resale than the older technology, therefore not really more expensive than B__20s and finally 4. the B2601 will prove to be a favorite for homeowners and small estates and will be in high demand.
