Congrats on the new toy. It's good to be "green"

Some years ago we traveled from St. Jo's / Benton Harbor up the west coast of MI. What a beautiful trip. There is a safe harbor about every 15 miles, each with it's own character and attractions. There was one place up towards the north that was an enclave for the rich. Everything was like a picture of perfection. The lawns were so manicured it looked like all the blades of grass were trained to stand in the same direction.

Bay Harbor, Charlevoix or Harbor Springs?

This was in 1992, so my recollections have faded a bit, however, I think it was Harbor Springs. If memory serves there was a large Hatteras dealer there - Walstrom Marine. When we pulled in the boats they had at their docks made our Trojan F40 look like a little toy. The homes were across the bay, south of the marina, on Harbor Point.

It must have been Harbor Springs because in 1992 Bay Harbor wasn't built yet. Besides the Municipal Marina there is Walstrom Marine and Irish Boat Shop, it is an incredibly beautiful area. There also is a great hiking/biking pathway that runs from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs, mostly along the waterfront.
