Kioti CK 2610
After months of research; forum digestion, dealer visits and test drives, I went with the 2610.
Spend more time at my chosen dealer today, getting a feel for the owners and their business practices.
Owner recommended the 2610, I was on the fence with it and the 3510. He assured me that for my needs it was more than sufficient. I did not need to fall into the bigger, faster, stronger mindset unnecessarily.
It is a fresh machine, the 4030 loader not yet attached.
I’m almost embarrassed to admit how excited I am to take delivery of it next week!
Food plot time is right around the corner.
Time to research a good quality rotary or finish mower....
Thanks to those that assisted me here.

congrats.

I got a 3510 first week of june, have just under 60 hours on it now - perfection in metal!

I went up a size for bigger loader, more PTO hp for bigger brush hog (it's main use by hour count is cleaning up weeds in horse pastures) and maybe to do hay.

I'm sure you will love it. I think they're putting same loader on the 2610 as 35 and 4010 now? That's nice if so since it's a good upgrade.

You'll find you can really do a LOT at 25/21HP since you still have the size and weight benefit of the larger brother.

If you didn't get the SE (not sure if the 2610 comes with SE option?) ask about some of the features as an upgrade. Esp the telescoping lift arms and stabilizers on the 3pt - that's worth a few bucks for the convenience. You can also choose a 60" or 66" bucket - so keep that in mind and know which you're getting. Not a huge amount of how much more it can hold, but unless the extra 3" on each side screws with your mowing lines or something, may as well get the bigger one if same $$$.

Usually you'll find the best price on the bush hog/finish mower (and really decide which you need since they are different animals) buying together from dealer with tractor. Either thru rebates or the dealer just wanting to sweeten the deal, 99/100 times that will end up costing more if you go back in 2 weeks to get it vs bundling it with the tractor in one purchase. No idea what rebates/incentives Kioti has going on right now, but their attachment rebates work a little different than Kubota and they DO NOT count the loader as one.

The 2610 doesn't come in a SE version... yet anyway. Im told it will probably come up at the Dealers meeting in a month or so.

And I strongly second having the telescoping sway bars and lift bars. I converted my own before this was an easy conversion to do. But now you got the other SE models parts to just bolt it all right on. Its well worth doing it.

Also i'd see about rear remotes and a third function remote too.

Welcome to the club. Im at about 75 hours now.

My 2610 working away... and dressed up

i heard the 'bigger' loader was going on teh 2610.

Dealer personnel told me kioti often mixes/matches some thing - like on the SE the loader hoses are wrapped in wire. Mine is not and SE and it is wrapped..one of the 'this one has it, that one doesn't no rhyme or reason" they told me.

I can see where maybe the telescoping arms could be handy..but I like my implements tight and wonder if the bars' holes are too loose or too tight (won't fit)? The threaded arrangement isn't bad, you get used to it and it's fast enough. A quick hitch is worth every penny!!

I got rear remotes - $300.

I wasn't offered a bucket choice other than 'we get them all with the HD bucket"...

The 'rebate' on mine was free loaded tires. I also added link pedal, cruise, mirror (the brackets are worth it - they block the hot engine air from your legs) rubber floor mat, horn (why a button and no horn?)

Link pedal...ok, but not a big deal.
cruise? WONDERFUL for brush hogging, mowing, even disking/plowing.

All we heard from the dealer personnel my son dealt with was, "it'll void the warranty if you put the bigger loader on it, I've already talked to them and that's what they said". Even when I showed them the newest brochure they actually had on the rack where the KL2610 loader is no longer mentioned. That's ok they don't realize how much money has been spent trying to modernize a 100 year old same family farm and I'm sure more money will be spent in the future but somewhere else. A simple apology from the mouthy one about the loader and the their failure to mention that extra money would be added to the final cost if you choose 0% financing but I fully don't expect that he will get that apology. So future dealings will go somewhere else as long as that cloud is hanging out there.

Anyway the KL2610 loader hasn't failed to pick up anything that our son has wanted it to.

The pins/holes in the stabilizers can be tight....or not. Just depends how they hit. But there are several on each side, so you can get pretty close. Even when not "real tight" on mine, it's about the same as my last machine with the turnbuckles - they would loosen a little during use until hitting a cotter pin so even though they started pretty tight, could have some sway later on in the day.

Grateful - that's a good illustration about the difference in dealers since you know both ours. You read it here often about picking a good dealership but if you haven't done business with them in the past nor know anyone who has, I think a lot of people would visit mine, then yours and choose yours since it is so much larger. But turned out the much smaller "mom & pop" type dealer was vastly superior in most all ways. That's like lots of things you read here.....great advice....but until you've actually experienced it, you really don't understand it. Stuff like two similar 25 HP machines but one is 1,000 lbs heavier - you don't really get the difference in capability until you've tried to do work with both. Sorry...rambling...that post just made me think of other things.... :)

They are simply not going to make the KL2610 model front end loader anymore I was just told. Phasing out that model because its an orphan that was being built for only one model. Kioti is rather vague about their decisions and reasonings and doesn't often share those well with dealers. Leads to a lot of confusion. But... that seem to be the scoop on that decision at this point. It is a good loader. Not a thing wrong with it. It just isn't going to be made anymore mostly for economic reasons related to parts and assembly simplicity I was told.

The problem with the turn buckles it they have to be loosened every time and then retightened and I do mean TIGHT. The sliding pin bars allow a tiny bit of slop and do not have to be as tight for that system to work and do its job. You simply pick the implement up and rock it to one side, drop a pin and rock it the other way far as it will go and drop that one. Evenly one both sides. In my case pin hole #3 works like a charm. The beauty of the system is that to drop an attachment you simply only have reach down there and pull the two pins and the arms splay out easily off the attachment. With the turnbuckle its a hassle because its get out the wrenches and the pry bar and break that nut loose and loosen both sides and so on. Its very much well worth its weight in gold to have those bars. I promise you.

Things is that if you want to go to the telescoping bars you also have to go to the telescoping lift arms. Because the bracket to attach the bars to is welded onto the lift arms. Thats the way they did it on the SE models and those are the parts you want to use to change to that system. But you want both anyway.

If you dig back here you will find a thread where I documented how I adapted mine. They did not have the SE parts at that time but I only missed that option by a few months. I was able to do it with some machine shop work a slightly different way but ended up with both the telescoping stabilizer bars and the telescoping lift bars anyway. I doubt I have any more in it than it costs to use the SE parts for the CK's anyway.

Delivers Friday!
I bought a quick hitch. I had the I-match on my Deere and loved it.
