I bought a BX25 last February, put over 300 hours on it this year so far. I love it. It is a real workhorse for what I do. Have 21 acres with most in timber and 3-4 acres of improved and semi-improved areas. Have a rider mower for the lawns but use the brush hog for the rest. . Cleared and rototilled a large garden plot. Cleared over an acre of blackberry (and numerous other weeds brush) with the mower. Cut down and remove trees and bushes , move trees, plant trees, grade and gravel a large parking area, pulled out large stumps, moved cut down trees to firewood production area, piled up huge amounts of tree limbs and stumps for burning. I built a 9' wide by 16' long bridge over the creek. Dug 2' wide by 4' deep and 10' long trenches for the sill timbers with compacted gravel in the ditches along with the approaches each end. Moved and leveled 40CY of gravel for the bridge and other areas. I am real glad I got the BH, it saved a lot of work. Now I have 10 cords of wood to work up for firewood. My winter project is to re-build and improve a 3PT log splitter.

Now you need a bunch of attachments. I now have a quick hitch as I got tired of it taking over 30 min to change attachments with a lot of that time down in the dirt. I am getting too old for that stuff. Now it is 10 minutes or less to detach one and hook up the other.

This is the place to learn. I am sure glad I joined, besides it is a fun run to search the forums and ask your way out of a delemia or keep yourself from making a stupid blunder. I was a novice a few months ago but find I have a lot of things to share based on my life experiences other than farming.

Welcome aboard. The only stupid questions are the ones you do not ask.

Congratulations on your Orange purchase. My BX25 has been my most used tractor.
