I have already used the excuses for my gun collection. She no longer believes me when I tell her I've had it for years. 

Todd, I've got 4 or 5 Thompsons under the guest room bed . . . for our 5th anniversary I gave her a matched set of engraved target pistols . . . and when she goes out of town a "spare" rifle has been known to show up in the safe, or the closet, or just leaning up against the wall. Yea, I must admit, the lovely Mrs_Bob has pretty much come to the realization that EVERTYTHING that I say is has been around for a long time must be new.

So now I just tell her it is "new" and she figures I am lying!!!

Congrats on the new tractor! I think you'll like it. Mine's been a real workhorse so far. Don't forget to ballast the rear when using the fel. Mine can get a little light when digging up stumps even with filled tires and a box blade.

Rodger, are you digging up stumps with your FEL? Might want to get a toothbar for it, sure makes that job easier. Of course, a loader is a loader, not a backhoe, but we've all dug stumps with ours! John

I have a toothbar on the bucket. I've been digging a couple of 4-5" stumps out. They seem to roll out easy enough but the area I'm working in is thick with grape vine runners. It doesn't take long to get snagged and feel the rear move a little. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I thought this was a joke and asked, and they said that they would do that!!

Oh yeah! Vines are the bain of my existence. If it's not wild grapes, it's those horrible air potato vines that are quickly taking over everything. It's a losing battle here in Florida. John

I love my dealer. He called me today and said I needed to come in and sign the paper work because on September 1, property tax will increase across the board in Virginia. My dealer saved me another $75.

I will post pictures hopefully on Thursday. The tractor will be delivered tomorrow morning. The bad new is that I will be at the hospital with my two year old daughter. She will undergo a scan to check for kidney reflux. If she is ok, then I will get to play during the afternoon. I know the NH guys will love this. I had several brochures out on the floor and asked her to pick out a tractor. She picked the TC 30 because it was her favorite color! She said, "daddy's tractor". Kinda makes a father proud.
