Thanks. Actually, I bought used from someone down in Woodland Park, although I did talk to Ron's in Ft Collins with questions about a backhoe. Real nice guy, an knowledgable, versus the Greeley dealer who had upset sales people and ultimately they couldn't give me any options for a backhoe whereas Ron gave me two.

You did good. I love my GC 1705. It is a little much for my 2.5 acre yard and .5 acre garden, but I have found something to use on almost every day. It is a real work multiplier. FYI Kubota and Massey Ferguson share a lot of the same parts in these size tractors. Enjoy.

Just an FYI, you cannot add the Massey backhoe, it is not just a subframe. The backhoe mount is built into the tractor frame, so you need to buy it in that configuration, GC1710 or 1720. There are 3 point options, just take is easy with them...

I've often wondered how a "pull behind" backhoe performs compared to a 3ph backhoe compared to a gc1710 or gc1720 backhoe. I don't doubt the ones that are "pull behind" with their own separate engine are not as fast as a gc1710 . . but I wonder what their advntages are vs 3ph or built-in? Lets face it . . there have to be some advantages or none would ever get sold
