The tail wheel and two lift arms provide three-point suppport for the deck while the blades are spinning. The tail wheel is also used to ballpark the cutting height. Once established, the two lift arms are subsequently adjusted to approximate that height. Typically the final lift arm cutting height adjustment should leave the deck at least one inch lower in the front than in the rear to facilitate discharge. What is ya'll opinion on the use of the tail wheel?
