Tractor
4110 Mahindra
I gave my Mahindra 4110 quite a workout Saturday afternoon.
I had some land I wanted to clear in order to make a food plot a little larger. Man a tractor makes things so much easier. I went out and cut off the brush (mostly pretty small stuff) with the chain saw then it was workout time. Put the loader down and went at it. Had my brush piled and the ground cleaned up in no time. That's what I call pilin brush, I barely broke a sweat. It so much better when I think I'm playing not working. I was having a pretty good time on it and I decided to see what it would do, I pushed out some smaller cedar trees the biggest was maybe as big around as a softball, most were smaller around then a soda can, it sure was fun. It didn't just snap em off, it took the roots outta the ground, granted the ground is finally thawin out here in mid-MO so I mighta had an unfair advantage, but the little 4110 is a power house, I've definitely be pleasantly surprised, it's done everything I've thrown at it, and most of it with ease. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The best advice that I can give you is this, do not go back in the house with a smile on your face after a ride on the tractor. I have been known to carry a spritz bottle full of water to mist myself before I go back in the house. The water makes me look like I really broke a sweat working and I don't have to worry about my wife wanting to get on the HST anytime soon. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Use this technique correctly and it will leave all the seat time for yourself. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here's what my wife heard, "jeez it was pretty warm today, cutting that brush the saw dust kept sticking to me, musta been because of the sweat. Oh and the tractor was running good today." /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I've only had the tractor a month how long till she know I'm full of... ya know?

If she's like most wives, she knew about 1 hour AFTER you got the tractor home! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The tractor is stored at my parents farm, where I have my food plots and help dad around the place, brush hogging and fixing fench, things like that.
Anyway I'm pretty sure she's caught on by now. Everytime I head to the farm I like to tell her "I'm going to go play on the tractor today, OOPs I mean I'm going to go work with the tractor today." She not real "tractor inclined", didn't grow up around them and such, I'm sure when we start our house, next month, she'll get a lesson or two on how it works. I'll bring her along slowly, I don't see her exactly fighting me for tractor time, but who knows. Maybe she'll want one for herself, my translation: wife gets current tractor, I get new one. it's all good. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
