<font color="red"> ALWAYS WEAR THE SEAT BELT!!
THE PURPOSE OF THE SEAT BELT IS TO HOLD YOU INSIDE THE PROTECTED AREA WITHIN THE ROPS!!! (Since the seat pivots forward, the Seat Belt does not provide front end collision protection like the Seat Belt in a car does!!)
If the PT starts to tip over, without the Seat Belt on, you, or some part of you, will fall out the low side of the PT onto the ground, or into the water, to wait for the PT to land on top of you!! You will not have the time, strength, or luck to 'jump clear'!!
With the Seat Belt on, just concentrate on keeping your head, arms, and legs within the ROPS, in the foot wells and on the steering wheel until the PT comes to rest. Then push the release button on the Seat Belt and climb or swim out to safety!!
The Seat Belt won't trap you, but having the PT resting on any part of you will!!
PS: Worrywarts who need to work near water should wear the Seat Belt plus SCUBA Gear!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
