Puter Guru\'s

I'm running XP on a Viao laptop, for some reason pictures, especially attachments I open look very pixelated. I can look at a memory stick from my camera and it looks great, but most everything on the net looks like it was taken with a cheap camera. Any ideas? I've messed around with the settings without much luck. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Are you using a high speed dial up connection like Net-0, one way they speed things up is to reduce the resolution of images when they download. If your off-line pictures look OK it has to be something in your brouser or internet connection.

Earthlink DSL . The avatars here look garbled as well as any attachments that I open.

If you are using IE. Under tools, Internet options, Multimedia check the box for image resizing. You may have already tried this. But its a start.

Yep, it's checked, no change. It's tough not having any kids that are puter literate. LOL

A stab in the dark here...
Have you tried changing your settings in "Display Properties"?
Increasing your screen resolution might help.

Thanks everybody, it was my browser, the accelerator dodad was on with my DSL. Turned it off and all is well, thanks for heading me in the right direction.
