Putting The Cart Before The Horse........power

I'm sure many of you have had an implement attached to your 3-point hitch and needed to move something with your trailer at the same time, am I right? I know here around the ranch I'm always called on to move a couple of cases if merchandise from the pole barn to the shipping area on a daily basis and I'm too lazy to always cut loos the 6 foot deck or heavy tiller on the back. So I took a heavy piece of heavy angle iron and a 12 inch receiver tube and welded them together. I then bolted that to my tractor bumper/weight plate using two 1/2 inch bolts and nuts so that it is easily removeable. I then slide in a hitch bar with the correct size ball, hook up the trailer and push it. It saves me lots of time and it's a very practical solution. Good idea!

I have a FEL on my machine, so both ends are usually occupied. I'm trying to dream up some kind of cary all that I can just drive up to and insert my bucket into a deep slot and go. It could be safety chained to the back of the bucket for longer hauls.

Most of the time I have my landscaping box on my tractor so I took a piece of heavy angle iron and welded it to the back of the box and put a trailer ball on it.

You have not seen the best use for the reciever yet. I built one of those 2' x 5' expanded metal shelves you see behind pickup bumpers. It holds my tools, chainsaw, ,materials, and lunch cooler. Very handle to have a trunk before the car er a tractor.
