Putting up XMas lights

Put up Christmas lights this weekend. Roof was icy and it was **** cold, but how else is Mr. C going to find the house and get presents to my 2 and 4 year old? Anyway was using those worthless plastic gutter clips and eventually put up my front bucket as the box of clips kept sliding off the roof to the sidewalk below. Would climb down the ladder and rip off three or four of the clips I had installed. Eventually, decided that the best solution for this was to climb up from the back of the house and avoid ripping the clips on the gutter down and to put the bucket up to catch the clips as they slid off of the roof. Once I did this the ladder slipped to the ground as I got to the top rung. Got the lights up and climbed off the roof via the front bucket. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh, yeah, the lights remained on for about 5 minutes, and then, mysteriously, half of each strand went black. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I hate outdoor lights. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

LOL, that's why all I have is a large and 3 small lit trees on my porch. All Home Depot after Christmas sale with lights pre-installed. Painless. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Insurance? i don't need no stinkin' insurance! Especially with my brand new bx2230 tractor/ loader/ladder combo- the swiss army knife of subcompact tractors. Not a fun day, but at least I can laugh about it now!
