I tried that once. Pipe shattered in a couple hundred feet. I've got some steel pipe to weld some mounting tabs on. Never gotten around to it as I either wait until it's frozen solid underneath or can keep the blade raised enough if it's soft underneath.That would last me 1 plowing, between the crushed stone and blacktop on the driveway. If I did install one, I'd use bungee cords for ease of replacement, salt and steel threads are enemies.
