Just found out my forks that have the QA plate that fits L3240 QA won't fit my new QA B3200. Any suggestions, needs or trades?

Could you elaborate on why they don't fit?

I assume because the 3200 came with the lighter duty Kubota pin-type QA, which is different from a skid steer type QA. The QA for the 3200, 3030, 2630 are basically a quick change version of the direct pin-on setup.

They sound like a great dealer-I'm surprised they didn't remember what you had, since you're definitely a regular. They'll fix it,I'm sure.

you can buy forks that fit your pin-type coupler, or switch your coupler and bucket to the style that was on your other tractor. Cost is about the same either way.

This is exactly the reason.

I see no reason not to buy / make a skidsteer QA for the 3200. Judging by the loader model # on the 3200, I'm going to guess it has a greater lift capacity than the 401/402/403?

No, the loader lift capacity on the 3200 is just a tad shy of the LA403 loader on the 3030.

But ATI does have a skid steer QA for these loaders that only weighs about 30# more than the Kubota pin-type QA. But, it isn't cheap - the ATI QA, a skid steer QA plate that needs to be welded onto the bucket, and a set of pallet forks was $400 more than the Kubota QA & pallet fork setup when I bought mine. But, the skid steer setup gives you a bit more flexibility and more options.

Interesting....... I'da sworn I read here that Kubotas model numbers on their loaders are related to how many kilograms they can lift at the bucket pins or something similar. I forget what the loader model number was on the 3200 @ my local dealer, but it was higher than 403.

On the new models, they are changing the way they measure or call out the weight ratings, or something along those lines, based on a post I read from Neil Messick (I think it was him) a while back.

Sorry I can't be more specific on the exact change. But check the specs for each one and you'll see I'm not blowing smoke up your ... :D
