Were there a lot of unadvertised sales? Is it worth the trip? Do you know how late they're open during the week?

Been too busy to make the 90-100 mile round trips to see exactly what they have...

My Dad, picked up some in-store flyers for me and I haven't had a chance to stop over and get/read them yet...

Stopped by the Vestal store last night. Did breeze through the flyers. They did have some implements on sale for 20-30% off. Looked mostly like garden tractor type implements, ground airater type stuff. They had the 5' KK rotary cutter featured, but was the standard $595 price. Picked up a tractor spring seat featured in the flyer for $103. The girl at the counter was nice enough to give me 10% off even though the old flyer coupon had expired. I was a little confused to see it was $99 in the Blue Book when I got home. Also noticed that the metric bolts that QFF carried, are not by TSC.

There were only a handful of customers in the store @ 6PM on a Tuesday night. Store employees probably out numbered customers. Hopefully its just because the word has not gotten around on the new store hours. Even though I may be picking at their pricing, a TSC is still much better than no TSC or equivelent.

For however much or little this is worth, all around Indiana the TSC stores have that particular King Kutter mower priced at $549.99 all the time.

Again, I can oly speak for my area (NE Indiana), but around here there haven't been any real Grand Opening special even at the brand new stores. The only thing I know they've done is mail some fliers in the areas of the new stores (good at any TSC store) for 10% off any purchase (can be multiple items, just has to be on the same cash register receipt).

Again, around here their store are open till 8 PM on weeknights. The weekend hours seem to vary with the stores here. I hope this helps. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

My local TSC manager takes 10% off any damaged products. I've yet to see a King Kutter implement there that had all it's paint on it (they look like they're loaded/unloaded by bulldozer), so I can pretty much count on getting that 10% off with or without their credit card. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Rather than go that route, though, I'm hoping to get a couple First Choice implements as soon as they're available here. The rotary cutter and the boxblade I purchased had some scratches, but nothing major. The yard guy was very good with the forklift getting them on my trailer. I probably added more scratches getting them off!

Freight is very expensive. Might be swallowable for only one implement, though. If within a days drive, might better go get it. Just will need to find a hotel that CFO approves of! /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif Nothing like a tractor related vacation! Just don't figure the cost of the hotel in the price of the implement./w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Yesterday, my wife asked if I felt like taking a drive to Cobleskill, NY to check out the TSC there. We've already been to Amsterdam and Oneonta. I never pass up achance to go to TSC, so of course I said yes. All three stores we've been to are well stocked, with helpful, if not very knowledgeable, staff. We talked to some staff yesterday, and they told us as far as they know, no grand opening sale is planned by TSC. /w3tcompact/icons/mad.gif The staff all thought TSC was missing a chance to entice more customers, but those decisions are made in the corporate offices. We got a bunch of small stuff, and I opened a credit card for the 10% off discount. Next time we go, my wife will open a credit card for the discount. Maybe after that my dogs will have to open credit cards!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Of course we'll never use the cards again, we just want the discount!!/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gifMaybe we can close them and open new ones, and get more discounts!!/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
