Yeah, I think it has a huge impact.
In regards to my old Ford 555A, it's a 1984 model. None of the valves have been replaced. They are very, very smooth. The FEL valves don't leak enough to notice. Lift the front of the tractor off the ground and dig with the hoe. Never have to readjust the FEL.
