I went to a farm auction this am. Lots of stuff.. but the things that caught my eye were the batwing mowers. They had 2 schult mowers that looked huge.. 20' maybee.. and they were setup for 1000rpm pto. Then I saw a 15' batwing.. looked like a rhino flex15 it was setup for standard 6 splined 1 3/8 pto.
Had a little rust.. but no rust holes. A few dings.. but no re welded damage.
Gearboxes were smooth enough to turn by hand, by turning the pto shaft. The divider box and the ger boxes felt 'good' no discernable bearing slop fore or aft, up or down. Blades looked decent.. had grass clippings on it that looked fresh.
It didn't go today, but will be up for auction next week, or it can be bought outright. The listed 2750$ for it. Any advice?
Tailwheels looked good, and hyd lift cyls looked good.. no rust on the rams, and no leaks, or evidence of leaks.. hoses were 75% or better... no metal showing.. though a few abrasions.. etc.
