Question about a hose on my TC35D

I've had the tractor for a year, but today I noticed this hose moving some as I was using the machine. Not sure if the lower end of the hose should be connected to something or not. The hose I'm referring to is the one in the picture that I have folded over to make it more visible. It is connected somewhere at the top of the motor and comes down by the fuel filter. Should it be connected or does it just dangle loose? Thanks!

After thinking about this some more, part of the hose looks to clean to be left dangling down. Hmmm...

It looks like part of the crankcase vent we had on older models. I think mine is metal on my TC45D. I'll check later today and tell you what I find.

Mine is an 04 model if that helps. I went back out there today and looked over the top part of the engine to see if it would fit anywhere and I had no luck. Maybe it does just hang loose. Thanks Jim

Yes, it's the crankcase vent. It comes off the valve cover and hangs down beside the hydraulic lines. Mine is not metal, just plastic tubing like yours. Just set it back straight down and don't worry about it.
