I would check you local laws for burn permits, and hours. Around here you can not burn after dark. ALWAYS stay with the fire. Any fireman that has been around a while can tell if you are burning tires from a mile away, day or night. 2 more things,, The ash pile will be hot for days. One of my fellow firemen had his grandson fall in a 2 day old ash pile. he lost several fingers and toes! so watch todlers around the fire AND the ash pile. Lastly if the Fire Dept shows up,, be nice I have had people piss me off when I showed up and even tell me I was not going to put the fire out. I dumped 5000 gallons of water at 175 psi and scattered his pile all over his property. I have had others that we sprinkled just enough water on to kill the smoke so the neighbors would quit calling us. Trust me we dont want to come to your burn pile. but if we see something dangerous we will put the fire out. Well I lied that was not the last thing Watch for over head power lines and burried gas lines. I know that sounds stupid but these are two of clearest places on most rural property. Lots of places use these for acess roads ahd easements, and Ive seen fires piled up in lots of them. Sorry for the rambling
