Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

If you had a Research Products, Spaceguard, Aprilaire Media type filter installed in your own home and then replaced it with a Honeywell F50 Electronic Air Filter then you would or could compare the two different models for yourself.

Each one has it's own merits and disadvantages.

I was out in the field replacing defective Spaceguard combs before you knew that all combs wern't used for personal grooming habits. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

True, but none can do what my Freshair and DuctwoRX can do or be as effective either. For the $0.091 per day, it is not killing me to have better air using "the duct". One of my heater for my reef tank cost more to run.

All I know is that I can smoke Cohiba's down when working on my heli and the wife smells zero! Nevermind no dog smell from "the kids". /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh, the price to replace is the bulb is cheaper if you know a dealer!

PS. People really buy those disposable furnace filters? Duct tape & some coffee filters together would do more. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike let's quit all this arguing and go for a heli ride, it's something that I have wanted to do since I was a kid.

Be good!

Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

ok, but you better get your "Wonka vision" running since the cockpit is very small. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are you saying this is RC stuff? Used to fly a Bell Jet Ranger with collective pitch myself just before my son got involved with RC car racing. The Heli was a handful.

Yes sir, R/C baby! .60 size. The heli is fun still I had a few “wonder” drinks and hit the house. So flying and booze do not mix. Took me about 30 hours to hover the thing.

Here is a link. Both models are the same price for FYI, Killer heli!

Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

Mike It does appear as if Junkman stirred your pot for you. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree that the electrostatic does remove odors quite well in my home. Have never tried anything like the DuctwoRx product though.

If I were trying to sell such an item I could think of a lot more convincing evidence I would need to put on my web sight about it. I am sure the manufacture is aware that the biggest objection they will need to overcome is "PROOF IT WORKS" and the simple fact that it is missing gives rise to suspicion. Most have not heard of or understand the technology they are using. If they only selling to people that do.. well it seems they wont be around long. So weather some know better or not I think the major consensus is going to be snake oil. I for one would need more convincing before giving it a try. Maybe a free trial period. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

John probably the best selling tool that we used years ago was a box constructed of clear Lucite plastic with a miniature power pack & electronic air cleaner cell within. A power cord ran out of a small hole on the side of the plastic box and there was a gadget on top of the box that held a lit cigarette and a bulb that you rapidly squeezed that would completely fill the box with the smoke from the burning cigarette. Once there was so much smoke in the box that it was hard to see the miniature EAC cell you pressed a momentary switch and like magic the smoke instantly disappeared in the box as it was collected and deposited on the EAC cell.

The expression on the face of the homeowners was priceless. We installed a lot of Honeywell's as a result of that one simple gadget alone.

Re: Question about \"DuctwoRx\"

Mike I used to fly with a guy by the name of Ronnie Plocker. He was a lot better at flying and had done so for a few years before I even got hooked. You might say he was my flight instructor of sorts.

After we would close the heating/air conditioning shop for the day he and I would practice hovering our choppers in the closed garage of my HVAC business. It was a pretty big area, no one to bother us, and no wind to mess with our heli's.

As you know it's much harder to learn to hover than it is to make the bird fly in a straight line so hovering is what we were concentrating on within the garage area.

I had just brought my Jet Ranger up to speed on the main rotor and gently lifted it from the deck, Ron was standing next to me giving me pointers when I completely lost control of the bird.

It must have been a radio glitch possibly caused from all the steel beams within the building, don't really know, all I remember is that bird going to full throttle and chasing two grown men (me and Ron) out of the building through the man door.

Once the wailing was all over and things had quieted down we went in to see what was left. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I got down on my knees and picked up the largest piece of the fuselage which by the way wasn't real big, and looked up at Ron as he was now standing over me with an expression that he had just lost his best buddy. I broke out laughing first and we both started laughing so hard that I think we both wet our pants. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did I say that I never flew again after that?
