can one switch out zt2800 and install zt3100's ? I'm thinking of it I have a older Gravely ZT48XL it's been a good mower one of the zt2800 is showing it's age and might need to be replaced. I have done all the routine maintenance over the years. Anyway it's a 2012 with ony 300 hrs on it still in good shape and all was wondering if it's worth trying to do a upgrade on the hydro's or just replace to one 2800.

I have a Simplicity ZT2500 ZTR with the 2800's in it. It works fine but one Hydro has always been of a weaker feeling than the other. This is just a guess of course that the OP has something similar but if so I don't believe it's anything to worry about. These just have less power than the bigger ZT's. I have a ZT3400 in another ZTR Simplicity Citation XL and they are far more powerful. You might be able to switch it out but I'd worry the bigger housings wouldn't allow it.
