We just received our 5030 HST with FEL on September 30th and have about 40 hours on the tractor. My wife and I love the tractor (although she loves her RTV900 more). I do have a couple of questions though. The hydraulics seem weak on the FEL. They go into bypass rather quickly and I am wondering if this is normal. We (actually my Dad), got the tractor stuck in the mud and tried to use the FEL to help crawl out of the mud. The hydraulics could not budge the tractor. The JD my Dad uses for the township can do this with no problem. The hydraulics have a hard time pulling the tractor forward with the FEL even on level ground and not stuck. Am I expecting too much?? Are they adjustable? My wife asked the dealer about the issue and he broke into a long one-sided discussion on the bypass mechanism but never answered the question on whether they can tweaked to give us a little more power.
The other question I have is about the CAT II hitch. My came with 3 bushings to reduce to a CAT I hitch, but the top pin for the top does not fit the bushing. It is almost like the top pin is a CAT I pin while the bottom two needs the bushing to be a CAT I. Is this normal, or did something get switched during prep?
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
