bearing was bad on center deck pulley
i bought a whole new shaft ,bearing,assembly
im having trouble removing bottom called adapter part #535-410-801
any help????
After removing the blades I took off the 4 bolts on the retainer ring. Then I could bump up the entire spindle assemble up leaving the bottom parts free. I don't recall that particular part being difficult to remove but I did have to use a steering wheel puller to remove the pulleys first. After cleaning those up though, they went back on with only little force with a rubber mallet. The part number on my hard copy of 535 41 08-01 has been changed on newer parts lists to 535 41 37-01. I'm not sure if they're exactly the same part or not, so that would be another item to check carefully if replacing.
I did learn that there are definitely two different style of spindle assemblies though. If you're replacing the entire assembly be sure to compare it to your old one before trying to make it all go back together.
Hopefully this info helps, but if not, please feel free to ask.
