This is from a newbie, so if it is dumb, I apologize up front. I read in the owner manual that there is a part number for a transmission filter, yet in the servicing the transmission section, I cannot see any wording or mention of the transmission filter. I can see the transmission screen which needs to be cleaned, is that the transmission filter ?

<font color="green">The transmission filter is different than the suction screen the manual refers to. See pages 46 and 47 of the Operator's Manual where servicing the transmission is covered. Look in figures MX17481 and MX17455 for the cylindrical object that looks like an engine oil filter. That's the transmission filter. It is underneath the tractor near where the mid PTO shaft gets connected.

Forget about the part number for the transmission oil filter in the replacement parts listed on page 30. The part number is actually LVA12812 instead of LVU800812.

On the attached drawing from the JD Parts Catalogue the filter is part number 18.

Mike - Thanks for the assistance. The cylinder looked like a filter, but I missed the ID in the manual.
