2007 JD 3720
I am looking at a 3320 with a 300CX loader. I have a couple of questions since I get conflicting answers from different JD dealers.

1) The air seat option, is in available on the open platform model? One dealer said it is only for the cab version.

2) I want the skid steer QA capability for the loader, one dealer says the 300CX comes with it and another says is it an $500 option.

Thanks
Bob

Bob,

If the one dealer is telling you "No air seat on an Open Station 3320" AND says "The Skid Steer Quick-Attach is standard on the 300CX loader" you need to run (not walk) to the other dealer... On the other hand, if one dealer says, "No air seat" and the other dealer says "The SS QA is standard" - you have a problem - because neither one of them is paying attention!!! (and us dealers wonder why we get a bad name...) The air seat IS available for the 3320 Open Station, and the Skid Steer QA is an option for the 300CX loader - it replaces the Deere QA which is standard equipment...

The Air Seat Suspension Kit (Air-ride suspension kit) for an Open Station 3x20 series CUT is an LVB25688, and it lists for $490.00 - it is the suspension only, and re-uses the original factory seat.

The Skid Steer Attachment Carrier (Skid steer attachment carrier) for a 300CX loader has a Base Code of 9200 from the factory - or you can order a BW15244 for dealer install - it lists for $411.00 either way. This option will replace the standard Deere quick attach mounting system.

Good luck with your purchase!!! :)

I sent out 6 bids to dealers within 100 miles of me. I am getting all sorts of inconsistencies.

One of the reasons I am even looking is due to service issues with my NH dealer.

Sure wish this was easier.

When I drove the 3320 I felt like I was sitting too low compared to my current NH TC33D. I am a large guy, 6-3 290lbs. I can turn the NH seat to about 3/4 and it is about the stiffness I need to keep my comfortable and from bottoming out. With the JD, I crank it all the way and it is much less stiff then the NH. Will the air seat fix that? Will it keep the operator from sitting too low?

Thanks...

Bob,

Don't know where you are in NY but we bought our 3320 in Malone, NY from Giroux Bothers. The sales rep & mechanic provided accurate answers to all of our questions, even assembled a blower to answer the new front mount questions.

If you are near them try sales manager Chet Lobdell 518-483-0420

Bob:

I have you beat. I have a 3320 with the standard seat and do fine with it. I am 6'7" at 350 lbs. I crank the seat as tight as it will go and it works good. I have no cab. I tried other tractors and one of the main reasons I went with the 3320 was because it fit me so well. The Kubota had the worst fit, the NH fair and the JD the best. The individual tow pedals on the e-hydro was also a big seller for me vs the one piece treddle design of the other two.

I cranked it up all the way but I still felt like I was sitting too low in the saddle so to speak. I hope I can find a dealer with a air seat available to try out.

I think it's my size and the bad hip I have. It likes my knee to be lower then my hips. On my NH it is fine but I don't like the treadle pedal.

Thanks

I installed the air ride seat on my 3520 myself. It is wonderful, I was bottoming out on the standard seat and killing my back on bumpy rides. Now it's smoooooth!

Bob,

The air ride seat is the way to go. It is pricey but is great for larger guys and those that are working on hills, etc. I really appreciate mine because the scissor style stock seat has a lot of side play when going sideways on hills, which bothered me. The air ride seat is capable of jacking quite high and I doubt you will have problem getting the desired seat height. It also seems much more laterally stable due to its solid mount for the seat. I also think it is much more durable. I have had two weld failures on the stock seat before and I am about 6'2" and 225#, so large but not huge. The air ride seat, to me, is one of the better options one can spec on a mid or large framed JD compact.
