5030 - I agree with you 1,000 % - In my opinion it is just a matter of time until the notice goes out for folks to exchange their gold for US dollars under penalty of law. The notion that the govt. is going to allow money to flow into gold instead of the economy, stock market, bonds, banks etc. is just nuts..History repeats and it has been done before..exactly right...I have also said food, water, seeds, land, guns and ammo are much more valuable if it comes to chaos..

This is nothing new, really. They have just stepped up the info gathering initiative for gold dealers as they claim it is to fight terrorism. Nothing was banned in the Dodd-Frank act about gold.
The difference between now and 1933 is the US was on a strict gold-standard. Today, we are not. In the future, we will not be, but gold will be tied to the currency. You won't be able to redeem paper currency for physical gold, either. That is why the gold will not be confiscated again.
There's also a lot of people that would like to take away your guns, too. Whatcha gonna do?

Why wouldn't the gov't come for your food, land, seeds and guns in a time of chaos? It has happened before...seems to me you are blind to a few key points here.

Furthermore, any empire based on paper currency, ultimately fails. History has proved that time and time again.
This (United States) is an empire despite what our handlers want the populus to think.
I feel the end game is one world government where populations are wholly dependent of the central government for everything and the central government dictates everything.
I won't be around to see it, thankfully.
Just look around at the rampant entitlement and Fedreal aid programs, not just in this country, but in all civilized countries.
Every administration since the establishment of the Fedreal Reserve has been on that road.
What goes on in the Grove stays in the Grove but the members have a common goal.
Just don't dig me up. I don't want to be Soylent Green.

I'm not sure the big players will ever agree to a one world government, although it sure looks like it is heading that way.

Well right off the top of my head....I can be eating my food, drinking my water and bartering both for other things I need, Gold , by the way would not be one of the things I need as it has no utility, and I can be enjoying myself up until the time the powers that be seek to engage me...now that will be a hoot..eventually I suppose there is a battle worth fighting...:thumbsup:

That's true, but in the scheme of things, those will be long after gold and guns, at least the gold and guns not hidden.
I look at Hurrican Katrina and marshall law. They knew before hand who had registered firearms and where to go looking. Those registered firearms gave the government 'just cause'.
People have short memories. I wonder just how many people really know what the War Powers Act embodies the President of the United States to do and why candidates spend so much money and campaign so feverishly to be President....
....and of course why no President has rescinded the Act in peacetime...
I know and so do you, but like you, I prefer not to dwell on it.
At some point in time, just this type of discussion will be deemed a treasonous act.
