I am new to tractors. I have found a Farm Pro 2420 tractor someone is selling. It is a 2 cylinder diesel, 20 hp, with lawn tires and it is a 1999 model tractor. The tractor looks to be in like new shape. I have bought 3 acres in south Louisiana that I need to keep bush hogged. Would this be a good purchase for $3500, that is tractor only? Any information you all can provide on a Farm Pro tractor is greatly appreciated. Is this a grey market or Chinese?/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It is a Jinma tractor, made in China. Homier imports them in large quantities and puts the FarmPro name on them. You can buy the 2 wheel drive 20 hp model at their traveling tool sales brand new for $3499.
They also are sold through a small dealer network, often for a little bit more money.

$3500 is not such a great price.

Read through the Chinese Tractor forum on TractorByNet for more information. IMO, the 20hp engine might be a little light in the britches for this heavy a tractor. But if all you're doing is brush hogging, it will probably handle a 4' just fine.
