Had to take my ****** harassment training in the workplace again.

The only question I have is, why in the 60 or so slides during this "presentation" test took, is everyone smoking hot looking? Even the images of the girls on the forklift were hot looking.

I work with nothing but a bunch of old ugly guys (including myself).

At least I got a 100 in the test LOL

Ha. I’m guessing you were looking rather than listening to the materials!

Kind of like I have never seen a FUGLY Woman in a Country Music Video either. Unless it was meant as some sort of joke.

That sentence right there.... :ROFLMAO:

At my job, we had a contractor that kept getting into trouble (couldn't control himself), and he had to utter that sentence several times in one year, until they fired him.

I was a civil servant for the federal government. The training was mandatory yearly. One year there were a lot of incidents government wide and the training was expanded. It was not enough to behave, you now had the responsibility to intervene when others misbehaved. For example, you are eating dinner and a Male contractor is hitting on a female officer. It was ridiculous. How do I know what's going on between them? Another video was a party scene where a boyfriend was harassing his girlfriend/ old girlfriend. Walking out of the training i heard two older guys talking about the party video. They said they were all drinking and acting like dirtbags so what do you expect!

I just started to notice that on every slide where people were pictured, they were all great looking (heck, none of the guys even looked like anyone I worked with). Like I said, even the girl driving the forklift was cute wearing denims.

I've come to the conclusion that perhaps ****** harrasment issues decline within a company if everyone is just plain fugly.

Back in the 90's I worked at a large outdoor retail sports company for part time work (mostly nights or weekends), but more importantly, picked up some great employee discounts on merchandise.

One girl I worked with never seemed happy, just kind of like a fuddy duddy who didn't like her job. One night she seemed all happy and excited, and I joked with her that she must have had or is going to have a hot date.

She reported me for ****** harrasment, the manager had to write me up. Pretty much one of the few times I've ever been reprimanded in my life working, and it was on a part time job I didn't need.

Looking back, yes, I was wrong about the comment I made and I did learn my lesson. I worked with her for over a year before that and never a problem until I made that comment only in jest and I honestly didn't mean anything by it.

It was a learning lesson on my end.

Last four years before retiring each year we HAD to attend ****** harassment also sensitivity training, and it seems the ones should have been there didn't have to...Dartmouth College had 3 cases in 1 year which doctors and professors were in involved 1 took his life... than college came up what they call task force and there job was to remove anything might make someone feel uncomfortable...our shop lost Ridge tool calendar :(

I just went through my annual training sessions, 14 or so in total. All sorts of topics including ****** harassment, ethical behavior, risk, phishing, privacy, document retention, safety, etc etc. But there was no training for the real issues in life, such as which oil to use, R1 vs R4 tires, hydro vs gears, or should I treat my fuel. Maybe next year I'll get the answers to those in my corporate training.

Without going into specifics, over the years, as both a manager and a worker, I've been shaped by observing both justified and unjustified ****** harassment incidents. Some people are clueless as to why their comments/actions could make another person extremely uncomfortable, even though it's obvious to everyone else. And, of course, some people are over sensitive or just plain whacky. Most cases fall somewhere in between and can be resolved with a sit down and no further actions are required. Lessons learned and kept in your mental tool bag.

wait till you have to take MARC training. you will wish you could go back to only ****** harassment training

/ Question on ****** harassment training #15
I did the training before I retired. It was put on by my company, then I had to take a similar one to maintain my surveyors license a few months later. In today’s world it seems to be a requirement.

I didn't even know this existed until reading this thread. I'm sure glad that I'm self employed and not working for a big company any more.

In my experience, it seemed to me that the majority of grievances I am familiar with filed either as ****** harassment or racial discrimination were filed in retaliation for some other slight, or to avoid a disciplinary action. The ones that were genuine, were often never filed.

Example: individual filed ****** harassment charges against their boss, whom they had been sleeping with for a couple of years. Filed after break up.

Example #2: Woman was pinned in the corner of an elevator, kissed and touched inappropriately. Never filed.

One thing for certain...rightly or wrongly...the first person to interpret what constitutes harassment is the person who files the grievance.

I can't remember which TV show it was but there was a 90s sitcom where one of the female stars proclaimed that where she came from "her ass" was two words.

Anyone else had to take "Diversity training"??? Sensitivity training? Some of this would blow your minds... I'm still 3 years away from retirement and just need to survive it a little longer...

Not only is the female in the slide smoking hot, she is invading the males personal space in a very suggestive and wanton manner.
