Question regarding use of backhoe hyd. connections

/ Question regarding use of backhoe hyd. connections #11
Thanks again, JJ,
does the order the hoses from the Hoe matter when I connect them to the rear remote?,

I think I'll use the rear remote for now and later,
I'll "T" into the return on the spool with a QC as suggested, then I'll add a QC on the PB from the
loader spool and use those.
I just hope I won't be cutting off some other vital flow thats needed when i do this.

The flow will be determined by the lever on the remotes.

Which ever way you push the levers, you want to send pressure into the Back Hoe IN hose.

Plug a gage in one of the remote QD's. Then push the lever.

The QD with pressure is the one you want to plug in the BH IN hose. Then bungee that lever position.

Ok JJ, if I don't "gauge" it, I should be able to follow the hose's for that cylinder and determine
from that, which one is the pressure, can you tell me,,
on a cylinder, what hose "is" the pressure side?
Is it the one at the "base" of the cylinder or the one near the top, where the cylinder comes out?

A hyd cyl has two pressure ports.

You simply connect the hoses to make the cyl react to your lever movement.

If you want hyd flow when you push the lever fwd, then connect the hose to that QD.

You can loosen one of the QD's to determine which QD has pressure when you move the lever.

I may have miss-understand your last post,.....
so your saying I should only use 1 of the rear remote outlets, not both?
I connect to one of them and the other hose would go to a tapped "return" line?
I thought I could just plug both lines in one of the rear remotes and one of them would
act a a return.

Here, you said,,
The flow will be determined by the lever on the remotes.

Which ever way you push the levers, you want to send pressure into the Back Hoe IN hose.

Plug a gage in one of the remote QD's. Then push the lever.

The QD with pressure is the one you want to plug in the BH IN hose. Then bungee that lever position.
Now if I find the one with pressure like you said, where do i connect the "other" hose from the hoe?

You can use both work ports if you want, but the BH OUT hose to a return line should have less back pressure.

The BH OUT hose to a return hose also prevents you applying pressure to the BH valve is reverse and perhaps damaging the valve.
