OK guys, need some help here. I have read poor ratings on tractors with the turbos and particulate filters. A lot were on 2013 and 14 models. Did Kubota have the 3350 in 2013 and 14? Anyway, have they got the problems solved with the 2015's? Most of the problems related to shutdowns due to the particulate filters. I am looking at a new one, but not real sure what to do. I have a 2011 B2620 now. I like a lot of the changes to the newer 3350. What say you guys that have a new B3350? HJT

most of the problems we've seen with DPF systems are owner induced, and not understanding how the systems work. Educate yourself and go, its nothing to be afraid of.

I've spoken to several owners of new 3350's, one with 200 hours on the machine, he uses it to mow and has never had a regen issue. Could be that mowing is at pto speed, I have 6 hours on mine so I will keep you posted.

That's good news. Any others with good or bad issues? I am also now looking at the 2650 rather than the 3350. No DPF on the 2650 and I have plenty of power now on my 2620. I know the 2650 is about 5-7000 cheaper than the 3350. Can buy a few more implements for that amount. New tiller and front blade anyway. Tempting. HJT

Well here is my two cents, the b3350 theoretically is $5K more, in reality I think the Gen 4 stuff has slowed down sales, and if like me you can find a dealer sitting on one, I paid about $3k more than my best 2650 price. At that price I want the horsepower... I didn't want to spend this kind of money and regret not dropping another few thousand, but I understand your perspective and went through the same thing. Ultimately I took the 0% Financing and figured it just didn't make that much difference over the next 60 months.

From what I have read here about about regen is that people in cold winter months were have a hard to getting a nuff heat to complete regen.
Will have to wait and see how how they do this winter with more of finals out there.

I like the 2650 for the price and lack of DPF. The 3350 is pricey, and remember it's not any bigger of a tractor than the 2650 -- just more HP (which some people have good reason to need, so I don't dispute that part). But for work where traction matters, the extra HP in the 3350 is not going to help much.

For the price difference, I'd be inclined to look for something heavier and larger myself -- especially since added weight will help use the extra HP in situations where traction is a limitation. I had a B2920 (same size as old B2620 and new B2601), and was thinking of getting a B3200 (same size as the new 2650/3350). However, I quickly realized that an L made more sense for the cost and capability.

I too have a B2620 and am considering another tractor. I think I am interested in either keeping the same size tractor and going with the 2650, or going into an L series-probably a 3901-that would give me more hp and the size and weight to handle bigger implements.

As long as the engine runs cleanly, there should be no "regen" problems, but yes the system is REALLY EXPEN$IVE to service and repair/replace if needed. The single biggest factor is acceleration, steady speeds at the recommended RPM will go a LONG way to minimizing potential issues; hence the "operator induced" comments others have correctly made.

Given a chance, I'd pay as much for an earlier year tractor without the aftertreatment, just my opinion.

can you remove the DPF system at all on these 3350's?
