1995 W-W 2 Horse Bumper Pull Trailer
I'm looking at purchasing a W-W Aluminum 2-horse bumper pull trailer. Should I be concerned about the age of the trailer? It has been well-kept and shows no sign of damage. Does anyone have experience with W-W trailers? Is there anything I need to inspect for metal fatigue, etc.? Thanks.

Take a HARD look underneath at the chassis as well as the tires and hubs, Horsey trailers sit for extended periods of time and mostly sit outside in the elements.

W-W trailers are pretty well built for an aluminum trailer. Check aluminum internal corners and frame of the box itself for stress cracks on the welds.

The issue with an aluminum trailer is repairing it if it cracks or has a failure. Has to be TIG welded or pulsed MIG.

Look for cracks on the sidewalls of the tires as well, and/or date codes... or just assume you'll be replacing the tires.

Aluminum horse trailers are subject to stress cracks. Get underneath it with a flash light and a flat screwdriver to scrape and check all the structural welds.
