If the unit is in good shape and you can use it for some of your needs and if it is underpriced then you could get it and use it and also use it for tradein or resale when you find another choice.
However the cost of adding a joystick and valve plus plumbing the unit plus the full fel I would think will not justify the investment AND the uncertainty of finding a quality unit to put on this existing older tractor.
In addition . . Is your full need currently for a scut or a cut . . Let's remember that a scut today is capable of much more than it was back in 2000.
