I have the 62D on my 2320 tractor, and it cuts really well. BUT -- if I had it to do over again, I'd take the $2500 and put it on a decent zero-turn mower instead. The 62D cuts great, and installs easily and is tough as nails, but I've found mowing with the tractor is less than ideal -- hard to get the nooks and crannies, and if it's the least bit wet the tires make marks in the grass. It's slower, too, since the turning radius isn't all that tight, and it feels a bit tippy on some of my steeper sections if I try to go sideways.
Net bottom line FOR ME (your mileage may vary...) is that I'm very sorry I spent the $ on an MMM and wish I'd put the cash into a dedicated mower instead. When I borrowed my neighbor's ZT (a $2600 Toro Mustang) and timed it, it was almost half the time to cut my lawn compared to what it takes to cut it with my 2320. I have a lot of turns and trees to cut around - not just a football field - so the difference in time may not be as great for others, but it was a big difference in my yard.
NOTHING wrong with the 62D itself -- it cuts great, and the mulching attachment works really well. I just don't think the mowing "experience" is ideal using a Deere 2000 series as a primary lawn mower.
