questions about moving Implement pins
Hello folks, I got a great deal on a 4 ft Bush hog (International IM400)brand,
the owner said only used approx 10 hours, and had been using it with a YM-1900,
I have it connected to my 1700 which is pretty much same size tractor, I can't seem to get it to level out with any adjustments I've made, it drops to low in the front, and if I bring the rear down it will be level how ever will scalp against the ground, it looks like what I need to do is lower the connecting pins, which I try to do by installing them into the bolt holes that bolt the A-frame to the cutter itself, although these holes are too small for the pins, My questions is? if I go ahead and drill these holes out large enough for the pins and move them to this location will these pins be strong enough to hold the frame to the cutter as well as used as lifting point? will it have any ill effect on the cutter? I mean they built it this way for a reason with separate set of pin holes and frame connecting holes right!.... I think where the problem lay is there is some kind of swivel at the top where the adjusting link connects, and as the cutter is lowered this this swivel lets the cutter drop down too close to the ground on the front,
