Tires Questions before loading tires with water

If your local temp never goes below freezing, I would no problem using water. I have used a water/alcohol mix for 40 years with no problem to rims or tires. Come to think of it, that is what my father and his father used with no problems. I would have no problem using beet juice, just too cheap to pay over $20 gal at the local tractor shop.

Yeah. I used WW fluid. I just used the calculator to figure up the cost. 14 cents per pound.

For the OP his only cost will be whatever pump mechanism he has to buy. I used a $7 drill pump. :)

There's a multitude of ways to add fluid. I've been happy with washer fluid, however I wouldn't use just water even if the climate permitted. Rust!

What about foam filling? Did the front on both our tractors n love it! Didn't need the weight there but love the no flats!
I can't afford to have the rears done, unless there is a way to do it yourself, but if you could afford it I think that would be the best ballast.

I don't think foam makes good ballast. Plus I'd hate to see the mess inside?

Gary, it is not what your thinking, it is more like a hard rubber when it set up. It is very heavy, and not messy. it turns your tire into a solid rubber tire basicly.

Heavy is right, it's all I want to lift, with just the front tires foam filled!

Rick I cant remember what it weights per gallon of fill, But I think it is heavier than RimGuard.

Oh... Ok. I can see the benefit, although I like to have a little cushion on rough ground. Hopefully s don't get a puncture with WWF in them

I have used my Grandpas L3800 with loaded tires and my Uncles CK25 without loaded tires. I don't notice any difference in the smoothness of the ride. The only time when the loaded tires ride drastically worse is when you are driving top speed on the road. My L3240 tires are also loaded.
