Anyone every take their bucket off and put on a blade? I am thinking about getting a blade for plowing snow this winter and my dealership keeps telling me to put in an extra sv with a quick attach blade on my 430. Thoughts? anyone done this?

I'm not sure if this will work on your JD. Check out the blade I installed on my Kubota. The thread was Let it snow.

I have the boom mounted blade for my 420 loader. It is nice for the long driveway and snow. Just drop the bucket and attach the blade in it's place. The blade angles both ways (manual, but it would be easy to put hyd. cylinders on it) and you can really pile the snow high since it attaches to the loader boom. I replaced the skid shoes on it with little tires so that is will glide over the stone better. Seems I paid about $900 or so for it.
