After being inspired by this posting decided to give it a try. Ordered the quick attach set from Amazon. The plate was marked as Vevor brand.

Spent some quality time with the angle grinder and cutoff wheels:

Cleaning up the edges of the tabs that were cut off. These will be welded to the adapter plates.

Test fitting the tabs on the adapter plate.

Took a few tries to get this lined up. Photo is from first try. Left side is a bit twisted.

Clamping the plates front to front, was able to use the square against the pins to set the height. The distance of the pins to the plate should be consistent due to the milling operation.

Got a few more tack welds in. Now more measuring and checking.

I think it was very smart to buy the set at the same time so you can use the plate as a sort of welding fixture to align the adapters while you're welding this up.

Got it all clamped up and started welding it. Moving around to try and minimize distortion from heat.

Enjoy a good fabrication story showing steps and explaining techniques. Good job. You will enjoy the versatility the ssqa will add.

Looks great and good price too. Been wanting to take the plunge on doing this on my JD 790. Just bought the kit from amazon.

After cutting the tabs off of the bucket, non standard quick-tach brackets remain. On the bucket the vertical dimension is too short and the pin spacing is wrong. So off came the top brackets. Also spent some time cleaning up where the tabs used to be.

Got the cross brace tacked in place.
