Quick Attach Bucket Removal Incident

Safety toe boots are a good idea too, which I learned the hard way after working with trees/logs a lot. I'd never be without them when working around equipment if I can help it. They won't help for all situations, but are a good margin of safety for a lot of cases.

Thanks for posting this... Who knows how many folks you saved from injury.

I once had a 500kg forklift mast on my wooden shoes because the log i put it on, scoffed from underneath it. Wooden shoe was cracked, my foot was stuck, friend released me with a metal pipe as a lever, and i had a stiff foot for some days. Nothing serious. Proper workshoes make all the difference.

Thanks for the replies. I will follow the advice some posters gave about keeping the bucket a couple of inches off the ground while standing in it to release the pins.

I leave the bucket up a couple inches and stand in the bucket to open the levers. This keeps the bucket secure and you can remove it from the tractor seat.

Ditto. Glad you weren't hurt.
