I do have spring pressure on the pins. I can see the springs compress about 1/2" when I lock the handles down. Any slop in the bucket attachment is all taken up by the wedge shaped pin as it is locked. I would first check to make sure you have enough spring pressure to jam the wedge shaped pins into lower end of the bucket when you turn the QA lever to lock it down. It may not be enough.
I also looked at your picture and mine is like yours...with the rebated type top. It's odd that the same QA does not perform equally. Also, the thread you attached about the "Kubota Skid Steer QA Question", was the one I had remembered.
Also, on my Grubber Bucket, I took an angle grinder and sharpened up the edge on the top of the bucket, (the first foot or so). It made a difference in cutting roots, etc.
The first two pics show the poor fit with excess clearance at the bottom. The second two show the fit with a plate to get contact below the rebated top and all fits fine. It appears that the Kubota unit needs to have a full plate mount and not partial rails like some use.
